Skill Level: Basic
Everyone loves to look at photographs, especially if they are well composed, exposed correctly and in focus. So why not take a day and learn how to take a better photograph? Learn the basics of your camera’s operations. Explore how to use the camera’s aperture, capture sensitivity (ISO), and shutter speed to create compelling images that will entice your friends and relatives to want to look at your photo albums, online or in print. Learn the rule of thirds and all about power points.
In this course you will spend about half the day in the classroom learning the basics of photography. We will then take some time (rain, shine, warm or cold) to take our photography theory outside with our cameras and actually use what we just learned. A digital 35mm camera would be great, but any camera that allows you to change your aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings will work. All you need is a camera, its manual and a good attitude. When we are finished shooting we’ll get a chance to load our images onto the computer
Some of what you will learn in class:
- ISO the new ASA
- F-Stop

- How to load you’re your images onto the computer
- And finally we’ll do a brief image evaluation
