This class is designed for people looking to buy a new computer (or their first computer), beginners who want to learn about computers or for anyone who would like a refresher on the basics. It is a hands-on class that takes you through the basic skills needed to effectively use your computer. We begin with a basic understanding of the parts of a computer and finish with practice in the use of some of the basic programs.

• Desktop, icons and creating shortcuts to your favorite programs

• How to open & close programs
