Learn how to edit your video like a pro! Start with the basics of moving video off of the camera and how to organize those files Learn how to edit the video clips, how to pick a good shot, change a shot, how to speed it up or slow it down. Learn how to control audio and add it to your video. Take still photos to video and make video into still shots. We will also cover how to link the video to media. Learn how to make a DVD to share with your friends and family!

This is a special class offered for a limited time! We are very excited to have Vic McCarty as a special instructor for our video editing class! Vic McCarty is a Southern California native who graduated from Pepperdine University in 1985.  He worked as a sports producer for Los Angeles television station KHJ for almost 3 years before starting his "on-air" broadcast career in New Mexico. McCarty moved to Northern Michigan in 1996 and was sports director/anchor at 7&4 for almost 6 years before becoming news anchor for Fox33 in 2003.

McCarty now owns his own video production/promotion company MacMedia and hosts a morning news talk show on 1270 WMKT The Talk Station from 10-noon. He also freelances for 9 and 10 news.

We will be using Adobe Premier Pro 1.0 to edit video in class although the fundamentals will apply to any video editing software. You do not have to have any video or photo editing experience to take this class, however, basic computer skills are needed.

Scheduled Classes:

Video Editing Basics is a 6 hour class. Classes will be held over the course of two evenings from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the TC Training Center. Training Dates:
